Supply Chain Sustainability Blog

OIPMAC's new blog aims to help supply chain managers create sustainable solutions. Our SCM Sustainability Blog also has a number of green tool's and resources; from case studies to news articles.

As we become more aware of environmental issues and global warming, more questions arise about the products we are purchasing. Companies are now taking a good look at how green their manufacturing processes and supply chains are and being mindful of their carbon footprint.

Supply chain professionals are in a unique and valuable position at their organizations as they span the boundary between the internal functions of an organization and the external. They are tasked with keeping sustainability relevant by creating cost saving strategies through reducing the environmental impact of their business processes. From purchasing, planning, and managing the use of materials to shipping and distributing final products, companies are now identifying with the benefits of implementing green policies.

Created by the Ontario Institute of PMAC, this blog will provide supply chain professionals with up to date information on green supply chain management. The Supply Chain Sustainability Blog will give you ideas and resources that you can apply to your work immediately.
