Transfer Credits and Course Equivalencies

OIPMAC has developed transfer options for individuals who have completed components of the Principles-based curriculum and would like to pursue the new Certificate in Supply Management.  Equivalencies will be granted for Technical Courses, Soft Skills certificate seminars, and Business Management Knowledge.

Technical Courses

The following transfer credits are available for individuals who have completed Principles courses within the last fourteen years (1995-2009):

Soft Skills Development

The following transfer credits are available for individuals who have completed a Seminar under the Principles-based Curriculum within the last nine years (2000-2009):

Business Management Knowledge

Participants have the following two options to receive credits for the Business Management Knowledge:

  1. Complete the Accounting & Finance, Marketing, and Business Planning certificate seminars offered by OIPMAC.

Or

  1. Complete the Accelerated Business Management program offered by OIPMAC.

Or

  1. Complete a full credit course at a Canadian Accredited College or University covering the same basic concepts found in Accounting & Finance, Marketing, and Business Planning certificate seminars.

Advanced Standing

Certificate in Supply Management Program

Certificate in Supply Management Program participants with equivalent full credit courses in Procurement, Operations Management, Transportation, Logistics, may apply for advanced standing in the following technical courses:

  • Introduction to Procurement
  • Introduction to Logistics
  • Introduction to Transportation
  • Introduction to Operations Management

If you have completed a full credit course in Business Planning, Accounting & Finance, or Marketing, you may apply for advanced standing in Business Management Knowledge certificate seminars:

  • Introduction to Accounting and Finance
  • Introduction to Marketing
  • Introduction to Business Planning

The courses that are a subject to exemption should be completed within the last ten years.
