Anthony Wong is a result-oriented, dedicated and strategic individual equipped with over 7 years of experience in the supply chain management field.
“The new program is delivering advanced SCM concepts and high-level business skills which I find very useful to my career. In addition, the interactive seminars and workshops allowed business professionals from different industries to interact and share their own knowledge and experiences,” says Anthony.
Anthony has worked in various sectors including finance, utility, retail and manufacturing. He began his supply chain management career with Shurtape Technologies; a global company specialized in designing, developing and manufacturing pressure sensitive adhesive tapes. Anthony has served with increasing responsibilities from the role of purchasing coordinator to become purchasing manager for Shurtape. His responsibilities include strategic sourcing, negotiation, vendor management; demand forecasting, transportation and inventory control.
Anthony has since worked with Celestica in Toronto and assumes the task of overseeing the company-wide purchasing process within various assigned goods and services groups in the Electronic Manufacturing System industry.
“Supply Chain Management (SCM) is constantly changing and evolving in response to changes in technology, global competitiveness, and customer needs. It is shifting its focus from being tactical to being strategic and business professionals will need to prepare themselves for these dynamic changes. This is the reason I have joined the PMAC’s Strategic Supply Chain Management Leadership Program.” says Anthony.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba.
